Our Story

Responsive Org is a global movement, which is creating a fundamental shift in the way we work and organize in the 21st century. Through the annual conference and local chapters, we have spent years exploring topics, including company culture, remote work, and belonging.

One of the core tenets of Responsive Org is that the rate of change is increasing, and this year, we have seen unprecedented acceleration. The COVID-19 pandemic - and the last few years - have become a global catalyst for change. 

We are creating a documentary series about how work is changing and what we can all do to make the future better for everyone.

Why A Documentary Series?

Through interviews with leaders at forward thinking companies we are exploring how organizations are responding to change. And by following the stories of individuals very immediately impacted by the challenges of this time - the pandemic, unemployment, racial inequity, and the changing nature of work - we are sharing how people are being impacted. 

This year is too complex for any single narrative, and there is no end to the list of heart-wrenching and hopeful stories we could tell. Thus, we're going to focus on several, each in turn. This documentary series will encompass parenthood & work, mental health, distributed & essential workforces, and company culture. It will showcase how work is changing, along with almost every other facet of our lives.
